MASTERS WEEKEND

Clap. Clap. Clapclapclap. A little too Happy Gilmore for you? I don't care. Because it's one of my favorite weekends of the year. It's also Easter which makes it even better. Oh I'm just kidding--you know I'm serious for Jesus when I can resist the desperate plea of tradition and forgo my pimento cheese sandwich. I can't even pop open a DDP in honor of my Papa. I reeeally wasn't thinking when I decided to give up bread and soda for Lent.

Moonpies don't break any rules that I am aware of so perhaps I will start my own tradition. Anyone else have Masters-related traditions? And who do you think will walk away with the green jacket this year?

Long Time, No Sea

So it's been quite a while since I've posted but I have recently gotten a sort of second blogging wind and decided to dabble once more. For a while there I struggled with whether or not I wanted to share my thoughts in this kind of forum. I was that girl who kept a diary and then threw it away after a few weeks. Whatever skeletons I may have had as a youngster I preferred in a recycle bin rather than a closet. I mean if Ben Reeves ever found out he was my #1 Crush in the World my whole third grade year could have been potentially shrouded in embarrassment. No thank you. But then I realized my compulsive need to share things and make connections far outweighs whatever reservations I may have had. It's like that sense of accomplishment you feel when you set someone up on a successful blind date. You just KNEW IT. Or when I'm rummaging at an antique store and come across something I feel another member of the blogosphere would just die over. It feels good to get it out there. So I'm back!

I'm a sucker for anything nautical so I'm loving that everywhere I turn there seems to be ropes, boats and anchors. Some recent favorites:
